Client: Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) Secretariat.

Client Goal: GBIF, an international scientific data infrastructure based in Copenhagen required facilitation services for their upcoming conference. They intended to bring together experts from around the world to develop roadmaps for collaboration around key components required for a fully-functioning biodiversity information infrastructure. It was the follow up for a conference they held back in 2012. They required "strong facilitation services to drive the discussion and keep it focussed, as we need concrete outputs from the meeting to develop quickly into products to submit for funding and implementation."

We worked with the team over a period of three months to hone the ambition of the conference. We clarified what was expected of audience in terms of their input throughout the week. Most critically, we explored and helped the team design the most effective way to prototype a mechanism for greater collaboration.
